"Save Me a Spot in College" Congratulations to 6th grader Noah Millman for his winning essay in the "Save Me a Spot in College" contest. He was one of seventeen students in LA County to be awarded. Noah received a $500 scholarship. He's off to a great start in preparing for college! Congratulations Noah! Hale is very proud of you! (Click on title to see picture of Noah, first on left.) |

LA County Science Fair Over 1000 students in LA County schools participated in the 59th annual Science Fair. Each exhibitor demonstrates initiative and creativity in keeping with the highest traditions of science. The following students represented Hale in the Science Fair: Ariana Barker, Jonathan Baruch, Jacob Burman, Hallie Drapkin, Sheila Ghlijkhani, Jeremy Harris, Morgan Hawes, Lauren Henderson, Jason Kelly, Brianna Wei, Moreno Zinnia, and both Katelyn Kritzell and Electra Martin received Honorable Mentions for their projects. Thank you to teachers Mrs. Altibarmakian and Mrs. Iranmanesh for working with the students on their projects. We are very proud of all of our students and teachers who did an outstanding job of representing Hale! |

Monetary Award ($500) to Hale's Horticultural Program The San Fernando Valley Chapter of the California Association of Nurseries and Garden Centers have awarded Hale $500 to assist in the school's horticultural program. In addition, a $50 check was presented to Hale student Alexis Makenson who, in a recent novice Floriculture contest at Sylmar HS, was the top scoring student! Congratulations! |
