eScrip Fundraiser
Hale has received a total of $1894.20 from Vons through our eScrip fundraiser in 2009! A big THANK YOU to Vons and all of our participants. We encourage everyone to please register on eScrip and help Hale raise more funds as you shop. Let's make 2010 an even bigger year$$$!!! Now through September 14th, Von's is offering their 10% Back-to-School Program. Please register your Vons/Pavillion club card on escrip and designate Hale as your selected school. Summer Reading List
Hale's summer reading lists are now available! Please download a copy of the reading list of your new grade level. (See attachment...) English classes are requiring students to read during the summer. An assessment with a graded assignment will be given within the first two weeks of the new school year. Please select a book from the list and make your purchase at Barnes & Noble between the dates of June 6-19th. Be sure to take a flyer with you when you go. Hale will receive a percentage of your purchase. Thank you! |

Update on Dress Code Policy
There has been ongoing dress code violations by students on campus. The biggest violation includes girls wearing low cut tops and SHORT shorts! The boys may not wear saggy over sized pants! If a student is in violation of the dress code, he or she will be asked to put on their PE clothes for the day. The clothes in violation will not be returned to the student, but parents may pick up their clothes from the Dean's Office. We would appreciate everyone's cooperation as we enforce the dress code policy. |

Update on Attendance Office Policies
If you need to pick up your child before the school day ends, please be prepared to show a picture ID when asked by Hale staff. This is to ensure student's safety. Also, drop offs of personal student items (i.e., PE clothes, homework, lunch, etc.) will no longer be delivered to the student. Please be sure your child has everything he/she needs for the day. If your child is absent from school, please be sure he/she returns to school with a note for the absence. Your cooperation is appreciated! |

Monetary Award to Hale's Horticultural Program
The San Fernando Valley Chapter of the California Association of Nurseries and Garden Centers has awarded Hale's Horticulture program $500 for participating in this year's event. Teacher Paul Rios and his students are commended for their participation and for representing Hale well. |
